One look at the Amalfi Coast and you may believe that you’ve found heaven on earth. That’s the kind of spellbinding effect this stretch of Italian coastline tends to have on the visitors who cross its mesmerizing paths. Located in the Campania region of Italy, this UNESCO World Heritage Site covers 34 miles of majestic terrain where sky-high costal cliffs display vibrant vegetation and multicolored towns live side by side with the disarming turquoise waters of the Mediterranean, creating a scene that has the power to stop even the most seasoned of travelers dead in their tracks.
On this Adventure Trek, we will explore three of the thirteen seaside towns, each equipped with signature Amalfi topography, as well as standout attributes of its own.
The alpine town of Ravello boasts ancient villas and stunning ocean views that will etch in your memory for years to come, while the pastel-colored Positano draws tourist for its luxurious cliffside resorts and fine Italian dining, and finally, we make our way to Sorrento, which sits perched atop cliffs that separate the town from its busy marinas, and is known for sweeping water views and Piazza Tasso, a cafe-lined square. The historic center is a warren of narrow alleys that’s home to the Chiesa di San Francesco, a 14th-century church with a tranquil cloister.
More than a vacation, the Amalfi Coast Adventure Trek is a unique experience and trip of a lifetime. We will hike the best trails, thoroughly immerse ourselves in the local culture and cuisine, and stay in luxury accommodations in old fishing villages steeped in history.

Trip Information
- 7-day all-inclusive luxury hiking vacation highlighting the best of the Amalfi Coast as well as Italian history, cuisine, and culture.
- Maximum of twelve guests per week.
- Hike daily, breaking into two different guided hiking groups.
- Start in Ravello and mindfully traverse through Positano en route to Sorrento.
- Relax with spa amenities and/or treatments available most nights of the Adventure Trek.
- Dine at world-class, award-winning restaurants.
- Immerse in local culture, tour lemon farms, visit Roman ruins, explore a centuries old paper mill and museum, walk through authentic neighborhoods, and discover the history and traditions of the most popular towns along the Amalfi Coast.

What to Expect
Adventure Treks are a unique and authentic hiking experience—and afford us the opportunity to explore some of the most amazing landscapes in the world and immerse in their rich histories and local cultures.
While each day has a wonderful plan, we will not be as regimented as we are during our award-winning health reset program run out of our lodge in British Columbia. We will eat, and even drink, like locals and immerse ourselves into the fabric of the locations we are exploring. As we embark on what truly is an adventure, keep an open mind to the unknown and relish in the experience of learning.
Travel
The nearest major city is Naples. Its airport is Naples International Airport (NAP).
From here, a private transfer can be arranged to the starting point of the Adventure Trek (information provided upon booking).
You are responsible for getting to the Adventure Trek starting point, Ravello.

The Hiking
Each day, Mountain Trek’s General Manager, Katya, and our local host guide, Lucia, will lead you on one of the Amalfi Coast’s best hikes. We will operate two hiking groups each day for this Adventure Trek.
Join us to hike the most beautiful coastline in Europe. Experience exhilarating walks with magnificent views. Wind your way through Roman ruins, medieval paved paths and steps to hill-paths winding under rocky crags, through forests with waterfalls, to hill top villages overlooking Amalfi and the sea. Expect shorter, steeper hikes on this Adventure Trek.
Average Hike:
5-8 km / 3-6 mi
400-700 m / 1300-2300 ft (expect staircases traversing the hillside).

Moderate to Challenging
Mountain Trek will supply foot care materials for blister prevention. Please bring your own backpack, trekking poles, and water bladder.

The Food
Enjoy candlelit dinners featuring delectable Italian classics on terraces perched over the magnificent coastline. There truly is nothing like dipping into fresh pastas paired with hand-picked regional wines after a fulfilling day of hiking. Each evening meal will be a culinary experience with dishes made from fresh seasonal ingredients, picked from local vegetable gardens. Each week will enjoy one Michelin Star restaurant.
Specific to Italian culture, please note that dinners will be later than you are used to, around 7:30 pm. Additionally, typical Italian cuisine features meat and fish. We can accommodate vegetarian and gluten-free preferences, but vegan preferences are unable to be accommodated on this trek.
