At Mountain Trek, we specialize in resolutions. For over 30 years we’ve been steadfast in guiding our guests to resolve to become better, stronger, and healthier individuals in both mind and body. Now, as the calendar ticks over to a new year, it’s all too easy for our community to set goals that have been proven to only have a 1-4% success rate. We resolve to change that this year.
We firmly believe that successful resolutions are not just about making grand commitments, but rather, meticulously focusing on smaller, incremental actions that compound into profound change over time, and that understanding the science behind goal setting, receiving support, instilling accountability, and being a part of a community are crucial elements of creating healthy habits.
For these reasons, we are offering a 21-day New Year’s Resolution Challenge this year, where we will guide you through the entire process of implementing a healthy habit, providing the education, accountability, support, motivation, and community you need to be successful.

Challenge Framework & Dates
The 21-Day Challenge will begin on January 1st at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT and go through January 21st. The challenge will feature the following elements to make your resolution a success:
Live Zoom Sessions
Join Mountain Trek’s program creator and director Kirkland Shave as well as other participants in the challenge for live sessions that will provide knowledge on the science of goal setting and habit formation, community support, and an opportunity to obstacle-bust.

Daily Morning Emails
Each morning, you will wake up to a motivational and thought-provoking email from Kirk. These gentle reminders will help keep your resolution top of mind and provide solutions to typical obstacles.
Live Office Hours (Optional)
Each Thursday evening of the challenge, Kirk will be live on Zoom for unstructured time for support. Think of this as “office hours”, where you can show up and get answers to questions or just listen in as others present their challenges and receive guidance. These sessions are great for additional community support.

Kirkland Shave is the creator and director of the Mountain Trek program, and embodies the essence of Mountain Trek. A certified life coach, former park ranger, and lifelong practitioner of balanced health, Kirk is a motivator who challenges and inspires retreat guests to do more than they ever thought possible. He holds a deep-rooted comprehension of the vastly interconnected human mind, body, and spirit and walks the Mountain Trek talk… sometimes barefoot.
