Basecamp Weekend Retreat
The Experience
Imagine yourself at home on Sunday night having just spent the entire weekend treating your body the way it deserves to be treated; eating healthfully, exercising, doing yoga, immersing in nature, calming your mind, reducing stress, and sleeping deeply. Sounds rejuvenating, right?
While that sounds like a perfect weekend, it is much easier said than done. It takes a lot of planning, preparation, and discipline to gift yourself a full weekend of self-care. That’s where we come in.
From Friday at 3 pm until Sunday at 4:30 pm, you and a maximum of 12 guests will work hand-in-hand with award-winning staff, following a program specifically designed and proven to reverse the effects of aging, stress, and overworking (and isolation!). You’ll exercise with our former-Olympian kinesiologist, prepare and eat delicious and nutritious food with our classically trained chef and certified nutritionist, learn and practice mindfulness with our program creator and director, and relax deeply with our expert yoga instructor.
All you need to do is show up and give us your best. We’ll take care of the rest.

What You Get
Clear your calendar and immerse fully into an unforgettable healthy weekend.
Starting with a welcome session Friday evening, we will guide you every step of the way until Sunday evening. Our immersive approach allows a profound health transformation to occur.
The schedule changes every session, but you can always expect these elements:
Optimized Nutrition
You will follow an optimized nutrition plan that takes the guesswork out of healthy eating. It has been designed to reduce inflammation, increase metabolism, improve sleep, and feel amazing.
Cookalongs
Each day you will join Chef Jillian and Nutritionist Jenn for a culinary adventure that shows you, step-by-step, how to make delicious, nutritious food in your own kitchen.
Exercise Classes
Over the weekend you will have two higher intensity exercise classes that torch fat and show you how to properly build muscle, and one functional mobility class that will teach you how to relieve neck and back pain.
Yoga
Start each day with a sunrise yoga session designed to open up tight joints and muscles and relieve pain and soreness. End Saturday night with a sleep-inducing restorative yoga session that will result in one of the best rests you’ve ever had.
Health Talks
Learn from our expert team about nutrition, fitness, balanced health, goal setting, habit formation, and integration. Leave confident you have the tools to live a balanced, healthy life that is an antidote to today’s modern stressors and a prescription for a long life full of happiness and health.
Guided Meditations
Whether you are new to meditation or have been practicing for some time, our guided meditations will show you how impactful this practice can be on your health, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Nature Immersion
Nature is the most healing environment possible. It has the most beautiful soundtrack, most captivating sights, and intoxicating smells. Throughout your weekend you will get outside and immerse in nature while hiking or walking.
Sleep
When is the last time you had a full night’s rest? Sleep is when our bodies heal and is essential to our health and longevity. Stress-reducing session such as journaling, meditation, or restorative yoga end each day and will send you into a deep and restful sleep each night.

HOST
Kirkland Shave
Kirkland Shave embodies the essence of Mountain Trek. A certified hiking guide and a certified Life Coach, Kirk is a motivator who challenges guests to do more than they thought possible. Kirkland walks the Mountain Trek talk… sometimes barefoot.
YOGA
Kyla Tucker
Kyla’s background in healthcare and massage therapy gives her a unique advantage when it comes to the restorative power of yoga. She brings a genuine desire for her students to experience something special and be inspired in each and every class. When Kyla isn’t on her yoga mat, she’s most at peace with sand between her toes or frolicking somewhere in the great outdoors.
NUTRITION
Jenn Keirstead
Jenn Keirstead has taught about the healing qualities of whole foods for the last decade. With a background in psychology and nutrition, she delves deep into diet, lifestyle and emotional aspects of food, offering insightful and practical changes for our guests.
FITNESS
Kristy Shields
Kristy was on the Canadian Bobsleigh team while attending the University of Calgary, where she received a degree in Kinesiology. She competed for Canada for 6 seasons and was the Assistant Coach for Team Belgium at the 2010 Olympics.
CHEF
Jillian Fae
Born and raised in Southern California, one of the best climate conditions for growing the finest produce all year round, Chef Jillian is classically-trained and has a love for and ability to make people happy by way of good food.
Requirements
You will need the following to participate in the weekend retreat:
A stable internet connection
A kitchen with basic cooking tools
A blender
Access to a grocery store or grocery delivery
Yoga mat
Yoga strap (could be a belt or tie, etc.)
Light weights (2-5 lbs, or substitute, e.g. water bottles)
Firm blanket or pillow
Running shoes
Water bottle
Rates & Availability
The Basecamp weekend retreat is $450 USD for one person or $600 for a couple (or you and a friend!). Switch currency to CAD.
